"Plural Singularity" is a new way of reading travel.
An oxymoron that tells one of the most interesting transformations in contemporary tourism: the travel experience is becoming increasingly personal and individual, but it arises within complex systems made up of technology, data, artificial intelligence, territories, businesses, and human relationships. But then, how can a deeply personal experience arise from a system made of people, territories, technologies, and businesses? It is from this question that “Plural Singularity” takes shape, the theme of BTM Italy 2027.
A vision that finds its natural meeting space in the event scheduled in Bari (Fiera del Levante) from February 24 to 26 next year.
Organized by 365 Giorni in Puglia S.r.l.s., BTM Italy will bring together, for three days, operators, businesses, buyers, institutions, and professionals from the tourism sector. Expo, B2B and B2C meetings, training, speeches, panels, and conferences will form the backbone of a program where skills, markets, and territories meet, opening new opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and business.
Building on the 8% growth in attendance recorded in 2026 compared to the previous edition, for the next appointment BTM Italy chooses to focus on a transformation that is now evident: each traveler's experience is becoming increasingly unique, even though it is the result of a multitude of elements, contacts, and possibilities. Every trip is singular, but it arises from a plurality of encounters. “Plural Singularity” will tell of a tourism made up of many individualities that no longer travel in separate worlds, but within increasingly connected systems. Singularity does not disappear in plurality, because it is the network that makes it possible.
Behind the personal dimension lies a much broader fabric made up of the multitude of people, businesses, territories, infrastructures, innovation, data, and contacts that make that experience possible and often determine, without being perceived, its profile.
“Plural Singularity” – explains Mary Rossi, event manager of BTM Italy - arises from this apparent contradiction: an experience can be deeply personal while being the result of a collective system. Tourism is going through a phase in which technology progressively modifies the way we search for, choose, purchase, and experience a trip. Data allows us to understand behaviors and needs. Artificial intelligence introduces new tools for personalization and management. Digital platforms expand access to information and services. At the same time, the experience continues to depend on the quality of relationships, on people, on the identity of places, and on the ability of operators to create opportunities. It is in this dialogue between individuality and system that BTM Italy 2027 is positioned.”
Same location and new objectives in the name of continuity.
The main areas of the event have been confirmed, from Gusto to Say Yes, from 4 Job to Travel Trade, expressions of different fields, needs, and perspectives that together reflect the complexity of the tourism system. A multitude of perspectives that finds in “Plural Singularity” its key to interpretation, two seemingly opposing words that tell the dual dimension of today's travel: personal in experience, plural in the ties that make it possible. The concept also reflects the very nature of BTM Italy, which aims to be a meeting point between different identities, skills, and interests. A platform where businesses, territories, institutions, buyers, professionals, and operators can interact and create new relationships.
“Tourism” - states Nevio D’Arpa, CEO&Founder BTM Italy - is never a story told by a single voice. Behind the experience of a traveler, there are territories, businesses, people, skills that work together, often without being visible. “Plural Singularity” also represents the way we understand BTM Italy, an event made up of many different identities that meet in a single location to create something new. In 2027 we want to continue to foster these connections, with an increasingly open eye to international markets and the quality of contacts that can turn into concrete opportunities for the supply chain.”
Numbers are important because behind every number there is an experience.
An exhibitor is a business that chooses to be there, a buyer is a market opportunity, a B2B appointment is a possible collaboration. A network to continue investing in, especially in light of the results of the 2026 edition. Last year, BTM brought together 565 exhibitors, including companies, municipalities, regions, trade associations, tour operators, tourism boards, and travel agencies, along with 120 national and international buyers. The B2B matching sessions generated nearly 13,000 appointments across the three clusters Trade, MICE, and Wedding.
On the content front, 370 speakers were involved in over 180 appointments, including conferences, speeches, panels, and keynotes distributed across eight conference rooms. The event also saw the participation of 316 media with 398 accredited journalists.
Many identities, one dimension. The future of tourism, just as “Plural Singularity” suggests, does not arise from a single voice, but from the ability to make many singularities interact and transform them into a common heritage.
And this is the course of BTM Italy 2027.
