The architect of trivago's Italian localization, Eremita joined the German company in its start-up phase in 2008, successfully managing the launch and consolidation of the metasearch engine in Italy, first as Country Manager and later as Industry Manager, and the positioning of trivago's hotelier solutions. In recent years, Giulia has been involved as Communications Officer with the MEDSEA Foundation on environmental, marine, and sustainability issues, including in tourism. She is also personally involved in creating gender and generational balance among the speakers on the panels and courses she organizes. A speaker at industry events and a lecturer for the University of Cagliari, Consorzio UNO of Oristano, and IED, she is the Digital & Innovation coordinator for BTO - Be Travel Onlife in Florence. She has been a freelance journalist since 2003.
