BTM Italy is a key player at the Book Fair: Nevio D’Arpa receives the “Libellula Network of Sustainable Municipalities”. This, in summary, is what happened during the International Book Fair in Turin with the presentation of the prestigious award to the CEO&Founder of BTM Italy – Business Tourism Management. A symbol of concrete commitment towards the goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
The ceremony took place during the presentation of the Guide to Italian Sustainable Municipalities 2026/2027 – Places to visit, good practices to replicate, hosted in the Caffè Letterario space of the Fair and created in collaboration with ASviS - Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development. An event that brought together administrators, professionals, and organizations committed to promoting sustainable development models, transforming the discussion into an important opportunity for sharing virtuous experiences and good territorial practices.
The dragonfly is a strong symbol that indicates transformation, balance, and change: principles that accompany the path taken by BTM Italy aimed at building a journey oriented towards environmental sustainability through responsible organizational choices, a strong focus on waste reduction, and an increasingly conscious approach to managing relationships with the territory.
In a scenario where sustainability represents one of the most important challenges of the present and future, experiences like that of BTM Italy demonstrate how events, businesses, and territorial networks can become concrete engines of change, promoting a model of tourism attentive to environmental, social, and economic responsibility.
“I have always believed that tourism could and should be a driver of change, not only economic but also environmental and social – commented Nevio D’Arpa -. The work done so far, made up of processes, attention to materials, relationships, and shared responsibility, has allowed BTM Italy to be included in the international project Tourism 4 SDGs, linked to the United Nations 2030 Agenda. Receiving this recognition at a prestigious event like the International Book Fair in Turin is an important moment that I consider not an arrival point but a starting point. Sustainability – he concludes - is not a topic to be told, but a way of working every day, in every field”.
