Since October 2016, Domenico Pellegrino has been Chief Executive Officer of the Bluvacanze Group, the largest Italian network of travel agencies under the Bluvacanze and Vivere&Viaggiare brands, 100% owned by MSC Cruises. The Bluvacanze Group also includes Blunet, a tourism distribution hub for affiliated agencies, and CTI - Cisalpina Tours International, a leading Italian business travel and MICE company, as well as Going, a historic Italian tour operator recognized for the reliability and quality of its tailor-made trips. This CEO appointment follows that of Managing Director of Business Travel and MICE (meetings, exhibits & congresses) of CTI - Cisalpina Tours International, which he has held since 2015. CTI - Cisalpina Tours International has initiated an internationalization program that now sees it have headquarters in New York, Turkey, Brazil, Cyprus, London, Madrid, Paris, Hamburg, and Geneva. Domenico Pellegrino's career in organized tourism began thirty years ago. He joined Bluvacanze after a long stint at MSC Crociere, where he held increasing responsibilities until becoming Sales Director for Italy in 2000 and subsequently General Manager until 2014. He also held the position of General Manager at Valtur. Since March 2018, he has been president of AIDIT, the Italian Association of Tourist Distribution companies operating in the travel agency sector, a member of Confindustria Federturismo. He holds a degree in Political Science and a Master's in Tourism Economics from the SSCTS in Milan. He subsequently obtained a specialization in Web Marketing for Tourism from LUISS University in Rome.
