Paolo Gasparini, Professor of Medical Genetics (University of Trieste), has been conducting research for years on the genetic basis of taste, smell, and food preferences.
He is the author of approximately 500 original publications in national and international journals. He has spent periods of work in Spain, the UK, the USA, and Qatar. He is a former President of the SIGU (Italian Society of Human Genetics) and a member of the EMA's CHMP.
