Raffaele Casarano is considered one of the most talented and renowned performers of the Italian New Jazz Generation.
His experience is a tribute to music without boundaries and labels, blending diverse musical languages ​​with taste and elegance, in a perfect balance between jazz tradition and the influences of rock and electronic music. All this with solid and strong Salento roots, always "cultivated" by the saxophonist to ensure a continuous and abundant artistic flowering.

He has performed at festivals and clubs throughout the world, collaborating with, among others:
Dhafer Youssef on the international 'Sounds of Mirrors' tour from 2019 to 2022, as well as having a special appearance on the recording of the album "Anì".
Manu Katché on the "Unstatic Tour," a world tour from 2015 to 2018.
Eugenio Finardi on the "Euphonia Suite," an Italian tour from 2022 to 2024, with a related recording project released by Egea Music.
Tony Bungaro, with whom, in addition to performing in several concerts, he composed the song "Libera" for the 30th anniversary of the Anti-Mafia Association presided by Don Luigi Ciotti.
Paolo Fresu, inviting him as a guest on the albums "Legend" and "Replay," and also appearing as a guest at some of the trumpeter's concerts both in Italy and abroad.

He has released 10 albums as a leader and co-leader, half of which were produced and released by Tùk Music, the label directed by Paolo Fresu that focuses on young talent, and has also released over 80 titles as a collaborator.

He leads a quintet of his own, formed in 2022 with the project "Anì," and shares the duo "Mediterraneo" with pianist Giovanni Guidi.
The duo "Universal Chords" has recently been formed with Hungarian guitarist Ferenc Snetberger.

Raffaele Casarano is also the artistic director and creator of the Locomotive Jazz Festival, considered one of the most important national jazz festivals since its first edition in 2006.
